# What is Tovly?

Tovly is an iOS app that checks food, beauty, and household products against **your health profile**. Scan a barcode and see whether the product **Fits you**, is **Caution**, or is **Not for you** — with ingredient rows in plain language.

Tovly is built for functional health and personalized fit. It is **not** a one-size clean-label grade and does **not** lead with a 0–100 score.

## How a scan works

1. **Scan a product** — Point the camera at a barcode on food, beauty, or household items. You can scan first; adding a profile is optional.
2. **See the fit** — Read **Fits you**, **Caution**, or **Not for you**, plus ingredient rows (for example Good, Caution, Avoid).
3. **Choose** — Keep it, swap it, or skip it with a verdict you can act on.
4. **Add a profile when you want** — Goals and restrictions make later scans more personal.

OCR-pending products do not show score or verdict chrome until the label is confirmed.

## Verdict language

## Where product facts come from

When Tovly has an official catalog hit, product facts come from sources such as:

- **USDA**
- **Open Food Facts (OFF)**
- **Open Beauty Facts (OBF)**
- **Open Products Facts (OPF)**

If a barcode is missing, on-device label capture can submit the product while it is pending review. Marketing pages do not invent facility, EWG, or grocery-database badges.

## Status

Tovly is launching on **iOS** first. The site CTA is the **waitlist** until the App Store listing is public. Android is on the roadmap after iOS.
